With successful auction of four mining blocks in December last year, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday said that the government hopes to complete the e-auction process for 86 leases in the next three months.
Speaking at an event to grant “letters of intent” to the four successful bidders of the blocks already auctioned, Sawant said that after completion of e-auctioning process, mining will continue in full capacity for the next fifty years.
The CM also said that the government will formulate a policy for handling the dumps comprising past ore rejects which exist across the mining belt in the State.
These too will be auctioned for mining operations without hampering the environment, he added.
