The Congress Tivim MLA Nilkanth Halarnkar on Monday came down heavily on the Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Sudin Dhavalikar saying that he is not fit to be CM.
“The illness of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar landed Goa in trouble and if responsibility of the Chief Minister’s post is given to Sudin Dhavalikar, Goa will be forced to face an even greater problem,” Halarnkar told media persons on the sidelines of a function held to commemorate the birth centenary of Indira Gandhi.
“Dhavalikar cannot even run his PWD ministry properly, how will he handle the Chief Minister’s work load. As a PWD minister he cannot supply water to the people of Bardez. There is no water in the tap. In Bardez there is a water emergency. There was no water during the festivals of Ganesh Chaturthi and Diwali and it can be expected that there will be no water during Christmas. People of Bardez should raise their voice and I am ready to lead them,” Halarnkar said.
He further alleged, “Dhavalikar is not efficient. If
Dhavalikar is made the Chief Minister, then there will
be corruption in all
departments.”
