Sunburn Klassique on Saturday moved the Bombay High Court at Goa with a review petition in the matter in which they have been directed to demolish all structures they have erected at their Vagator venue without NOCs from the panchayat.
As was their practice in the past, the electronic dance music (EDM) festival organisers had put up large temporary infrastructure, pending permissions from the local body and other government authorities.
A division bench of the Bombay High Court had on Friday passed orders slamming the organizers for putting up the structures despite the court restraining them from doing so in an interim order the court passed earlier this week.
The division bench comprising Justices Mahesh Sonak and M S Jawalkar had also directed them in Friday’s order to remove the structures and clear site before pursuing the NOCs from the panchayat afresh.
The EDM franchisee is reportedly seeking a ‘lenient view’ from the court and grant them exemption from demolishing the structures.
The EDM festival, billed as one of the State’s largest this year, is scheduled to be held at Vagator on December 27 to 29.
