Sources in the know informed that the South Goa MP may come out in support of candidate Michelle, wife of sitting Curtorim ZP Member, Moreno Rebello.
Sources said the MP is aware of the work put in by the sitting ZP member and those demanding ticket for Michelle for the Congress party in the 2019 Lok Sabha
election. Sources further say that Sardinha is not averse in discussing the ticket issue with Congress Curtorim MLA Reginaldo Lourenco and work out a solution.
The race for the Curtorim ticket has come under focus of party leaders after the Curtorim Block Congress suggested Michelle’s name, a move which evoked criticism from local MLA Reginaldo on grounds that the block committee did not consult him.
