Taking no chances, police deployed at Kamat’s house

Taking no chances, the Goa police deployed police force at the residence of Congress-turned-BJP Margao MLA Digambar Kamat on Wednesday.

Two police jeeps, including the Pink police force, were deployed outside the Malbhat residence of the Margao MLA, as the Congress party kick-started its protests against the eight party defectors from Wednesday.

Sources said the police were deployed at the residence of the Margao MLA as a precautionary measure.

The Margao MLA, however, was not inside the house as he was attending a health programme at Borda on Wednesday morning.
