Hundreds of taxi operators on Monday vowed to continue agitating against the GoaMiles till the app-based taxi service is scrapped.
At a largely attended meeting in Candolim, also sent out a warning to Ports Minister and local MLA Michael Lobo that he would have to face the consequences if the issue was not resolved.
"MLAs from coastal areas should be prepared to sit at home if GoaMiles is not scraped. Ports Minister Michael Lobo should take this warning seriously or else, he will have to contest future election from a constituency in Karnataka,” warned Yogesh Govekar.
He also added that taxi drivers will not support BJP candidates in future and instead, would back another candidate.
Chetan Kamat warned that they would not allow GoaMiles drivers to collect passengers from hotels.
“If they stop to collect passengers from hotels, we will record the video and present it to the police,” said Kamat.
