The Tejas Express will arrive in Goa past mid-night on Monday. The newly launched train is a 19-coach fully air-conditioned train with features like LED screens, wi-fi connectivity, coffee vending machines, bio-vacuum toilets and GPS based passenger information display screens.
During the non-monsoon period, The Tejas Express will run on the Mumbai-Goa route five days a week - Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
But during the monsoon, between June 10 and October 31, it will operate thrice every week, on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, Ajgaonkar also expressed hope that the railway ministry will pay attention towards upgradation and improvement of railway stations, particularly because Goa is a tourism destination.
