A 38-year-old tempo driver died on the spot in a fatal hit-and-run accident between a tempo and tanker at Virnoda-Pernem NH during the wee hours today.
The deceased is identified as Niyaz Zari. He was driving a poultry tempo.
Niyaz was shifted to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police are on the lookout for the lorry driver. More details are awaited.
