Theft at Ponda temple
PONDA: A donation box containing cash of about Rs 70,000 was stolen from the Shree Shantadurga temple at Vaghurme-Ponda.
According to Ponda Police, Shambha Prabhu from Gaonkarwada-Vaghurem complained that some person entered the temple from the rear window by forcefully opening it and decamped with the donation box containing cash of about Rs 70,000 sometime between January 12 and 13.
An offence has been registered under Sections 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code and police is investigating the case.
