Thick fog delays flights at Dabolim

VASCO: Six domestic and two chartered flights were delayed due to heavy fog at Dabolim Airport on Monday morning.

The flights were diverted to other airports and some landed after two hours, while others landed after around four hours at Dabolim airport.

When contacted, Airport Director B C H Negi said one each of Air India and Go Air, two Jet Airways, two Air Arabia, two charter flights Royal Fly and Fly Dubai were delayed due to the thick fog.

Negi added that the flights started landing once the weather was cleared and some flights were delayed for two hours, while others were delayed for about four hours.

“While seven flights went back to its destination, Royal Fly flight did not fly back to its destination as the pilot had completed his flying hours and it would fly on Tuesday morning,” said Negi.
