Meghalaya-based melodic metalcore band Thunder’s Cave will headline the 17th edition of Rock in Goa, which will be held at Domingos Gazebo, Varca, on September 20. The event, which has become a regular fixture on Goa’s rock music circuit, will bring together bands from Goa and other parts of the country for an evening of rock and metal. The programme will begin at 5 pm.
Hailing from Nongstoiñ in Meghalaya, Thunder’s Cave has retained its original line-up for the past 12 years. The band has performed at venues across the country, with its music combining heavy riffs, melodic elements and powerful choruses. The band is also expected to perform material from its upcoming album, ‘The Calling’, during its appearance in Goa.
The line-up for this year’s edition includes Bad Blood, Noxious, Re-Bad Apple, Roar Engine, Debauchery, Full Power and Breaking Limits. Rock in Goa was started in 2009 as ‘Bad Blood and Friends’ and has since provided a platform for rock musicians and bands from Goa. Over the years, the event has featured both established and emerging acts, including Electric Pulse, Within Ceres, Kodop, Lost and Eclipse with Zee, as well as artists and bands from outside the state.
The event is hosted by Sandy and Pravas and coordinated by Rockbugs Goa. The 17th edition will be held on September 20 at Domingos Gazebo, Varca, from 5 pm.
