TMC begins preparations for 2027 general elections

After a disastrous show in the 2022 Goa Assembly elections, the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress is now preparing itself for the next State general elections due in 2027.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, AITC Goa spokesperson Trajano D’Mello said that the party is here for the long run with hundred percent commitments to the people of Goa. “AITC is working on the ground. We are focusing and working in 10-15 constituencies. Our workers are in touch with the people,” he said.

D’Mello said that the party is working silently for the people.

The national party entered into Goa politics in 2022 polls however failed to make a mark in the coastal State. The party had contested 26 seats in alliance with the MGP, which is now part of the BJP led government.
