TMC criticises BJP for falsely propagating it as anti-Hindu

Beginning the press conference with a ‘Jai Siya Ram’ greeting, Kiran Kandolkar said, "The BJP is running false propaganda to portray AITC chairperson Mamata Banerjee as an anti-Hindu. She herself is the daughter of a priest, a true and devout Brahmin Hindu."

Kandolkar requested the people of Goa not to fall prey to BJP’s lies which were a result of the party being rattled by the TMC-MGP alliance.

He added, "Bengal comprises of 70% Hindus and they all supported Mamata Banerjee. That is why TMC secured an emphatic victory not once, not twice but thrice. Even there, BJP tried to malign Mamata Banerjee’s image but failed miserably. The BJP has once again resorted to playing the communal card since they have lost face in Goa."

Questioning the credibility of the BJP, Kandolkar said, "For all the claims made about Bangladeshi infiltrators, I want to ask, who is responsible for securing international borders. Isn’t it the duty of the Central government to secure our borders? How can they blame TMC or Didi for their failure?".

Attacking the BJP for their dirty games, senior TMC leader Yatish Naik said, "Goans are intelligent and won’t be fooled by the BJP. BJP is the real anti-Hindu party. How many Hindus in Goa got jobs under BJP? The BJP hasn’t been able to resolve issues of employment, inflation, public infrastructure, drinking water and so they are playing this cheap Hindu-Muslim game."

Raising the pitch, TMC leader Priya Rathod added, "It's the 21st century and people need education, employment and better infrastructure, not religion-based politics."

TMC strongly condemns BJP’s attempt to malign us and will not allow them to play the communal card in Goa, the party said the press release.
