TMC digs into BJP failures on job, governance fronts

PANAJI
Rajya Sabha MP and AITC Goa co-in charge Sushmita Dev along with Goa TMC leader Churchill Alemao vowed to beat the BJP both in the State as well as the Centre at a press conference held in Benaulim.

Churchill Alemao assured that TMC would form the government in Goa this time. He said, “I’m a people’s leader and the people of Goa trust me. We have to defeat the BJP not just in Goa but at the Centre as well. Didi has defeated the Modi-Shah duo three times in Bengal and the same will happen in Goa.”

He also praised the initiatives of Goa TMC that will bring prosperity to the state. He added, “TMC will give guaranteed income support of Rs 5000 per month to one woman in every Goan household. Not just that, Goan youth can avail a collateral-free credit facility of Rs 20 lakh. This has been done to empower them financially.”

Lauding the able leadership of Alemao, Sushmita Dev said, “He is a leader of the masses and I’m happy that he has joined the TMC. With his presence, TMC will get stronger at the grassroots and will be able to execute our schemes to the fullest.”

Slamming the BJP for accusing Goa TMC of copying their schemes, Dev said, “BJP claims to give Rs 1200 to women under the Griha Aadhar scheme while the ground reality says otherwise. BJP must first look into its failures and then talk about development.”

She also hit out strongly at Chief Minister Pramod Sawant who promised to give 30,000 jobs to Goan youth, “Why didn’t Sawant give these jobs in the last five years? Where were you when the youth of Goa wanted jobs?” she questioned.

Taking a dig at AAP candidate Venzy Viegas for falsely accusing Alemao of corruption, she challenged him to show relevant documents that prove irregularities.
