Dalgado Konknni Akademi is announcing the winners of various awards for the year 2025.

Noted writer and artist, Tomazinho Cardozo is the first recipient of Dalgado Konknni Akademi’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
This is the first time that DKA has instituted the award to be awarded to a personality, who has contributed immensely for Romi Konkani in all fields of literature, culture and service. “We are glad that the first recipient of this award is Tomazinho Cardoz whose contribution to the language and culture is immeasurable”, informed Dalgado Konknni Akademi Secretary Fr Myron J Barreto.
The DKA also announced the winners of the awards for the year. The Dalgado Sahityik Puroskar has gone to Vincy Quadros, while the Dalgado Romi Konknni Seva Puroskar to Fr Alfred Judas Vas.
The Dalgado Sonskrutik Puroskar has been bagged by Platilda Afonso e Dias, while the Fr. Freddy J. Da Costa Potrkarita Puroskar has gone to Daniel F. de Souz.
Other winners are Miguel Braganza (Joel D'Souza Daiz Puroskar) and Sandhya Angeli Fernandes (Berta Menezes Ostori Puroskar).
The prestigious yearly Awards Dalgado Puroskar 2025 will be conferred at a ceremonial function on January 31 at 4.00 p.m. at Ravindra Bhavan Conference Hall, Margao.
BJP State president Damu Naik and Fr Joaquim Loiola Pereira, Romi Konknni writer and Secretary to the Archbishop of Goa and Daman, have consented to be the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively for this prestigious award ceremony. Celso Fernandes, President of Dalgado Konknni Akademi will preside over the function.
