CANACONA
Traffic along the highway was affected for a few hours after a truck broke down at the Karmalghat-Canacona on Monday.
According to sources, the Karnatak-registered truck was proceeding to Mormugao when it developed a technical snag while climbing up the Karmalghat at about 12 noon.
The truck got stuck on the middle of the road, affecting other traffic along the route for a few hours.
Traffic police tried to regulate traffic and permitted the movement of two-wheelers, while bus passengers travelling towards Canacona were seen walking down the Karmalghat road. Traffic was partially restored only after two hours.
