A truck parked on the road behind the ESI hospital in Colmorod caught fire on late Friday evening, destroying property worth over Rs one lakh.
It is suspected that a roaside fire spread to the parked truck. Fire brigade informed that five tyres of the vehicle were gutted. The fire brigade, however, saved the vehicle from being completely destroyed in the inferno.
Former MMC Councilor Jaffar Shaikh informed that waste is being thrown along the side of the road in the area, suspecting that it caught fire first.
