Two injured in accident
BICHOLIM: Two persons were seriously injured, while three vehicles were damaged, after a goods carrier truck rammed into them near Karapur Agro Factory at Kulan-Bicholim on Thursday evening.
According to Bicholim Police, the truck (MH-24-AB-8636) was proceeding from Bicholim to Belagavi after unloading goods. On reaching near Karapur agro factory, the truck went on the wrong side to avoid potholes and rammed into a parked four wheeler (GA-03-C-5629) and later hit a motorcycle (GA-07-H-4883) and a scooter (GA-04-K-9649).
Ulhas Sawant from Sal was proceeding on his motorcycle, while Dattaram Naik from Dhargal-Pernem was proceeding on his scooter.
Police said both the seriously injured persons were rushed to PHC Bicholim and later referred to GMC. All the three vehicles were badly damaged.
Police have filed an offence against the truck driver. HC Rajendra Gawas is investigating the case.
