The mother-daughter duo, were apparently agitated at the security personnel manning the main gate,  as they claimed that they were not only allowed entry, but also showed no respect to the senior citizen.
They were questioning the security over their action of stopping the woman, who was a senior citizen, who had come to the casualty.
Rane and the two women came face-to-face when he was leaving Hospicio hospital after an inspection of the building with health officials. As the mother-daughter duo saw the Health Minister leaving the premises, they came near to him to narrate the incident, over the scant respect showed by the security to the senior citizen.
When the Health Minister told them to calm down, while he was moving out, they demanded to know why he was running away and further demanding to know whether he was on duty.
Taken completely by surprise, Rane told the duo not to shout at him, saying they should talk properly, if they want to talk to a minister.
“I am not running away, but reduce your volume,” he told the women, as they duo in turn wondered whether they want the people only during election.
At one stage, the Health Minister reminded that he is not some labourer, but a Minister for Health, who is there to address issues concerning health.
“Talk slowly and listen to me. I will address your issue. If you don’t know how to talk, I really don’t care if the media is around,” Rane told the women before walking towards his car.
When the Minister said nobody would care for them if they don’t reduce their voice, they replied back that they will also not vote for him.
While the Minister was leaving the Hospicio premises in his car, the women reminded Rane how he had quit the Congress to join
the BJP.
In the meantime, the Hospicio authorities called up the Margao police to depute lady police constables at the hospital, even as the hospital security were seen providing security cover to the Heath Minister.
