Two youth killed in road mishap at Mulgao

Two youth from Revora died in a road mishap at Mulgao on Friday evening. According to reports, Omkar Phadte and Tejas Kavthankar, both ITI students in Bicholim, had travelled to the institute.

Omkar had cleared his final diesel mechanic examination, while Tejas had one paper left. They were riding back to Revora on Tejas’s motorcycle after filling in an application form when a vehicle rammed them from the rear, flinging both off the motorcycle.

One youth fell by the roadside and the other into a drain, initially unnoticed until someone saw his feet. Onlookers pulled him out. Both were taken to the Bicholim health centre, where they were declared dead on arrival. Police are investigating the incident.
