A special drive conducted by the South Goa district administration on regularisation of unauthorised structures in South Goa saw the disposal of 96 applications.
South Goa Additional Collector, Srinet Kothawale informed that there are around 183 applicants or their representatives attended the camps held at the taluka level, which saw around 96 applications disposed by the authorities. The highest number of applications, around 45 to be precise, have been disposed of at Sanguem taluka, followed by 42 at Ponda, Mormugao (31), Quepem (25) and Salcete (27).
He informed that the total number of applications pending after the drive is pegged at around 1,150 applications.
The number of applications approved at the special drive is pegged at around 34, number of regularisation orders issued is 26. The number of applications rejected during the drive is pegged at around 62.
