Electricity department Assistant Engineer Sanjeev Malshekar has appealed to consumers to register themselves with the Urja Mitra App to enable them receive alerts on power cuts in their area.
“Whenever we have shut downs for over half an hour, we push these alerts on our app ‘Urja Mitra’ where our system is always updated. Consumers registered with this app on their mobile number get a message of a likely shut down with details of reason, area and time frame, thus keeping them updated about a shut down," said Malshekar.
