Valpoi Council to issue notices to all mobile tower operators in town

Claiming that not a single mobile tower has received permission from the Valpoi Municipal Council (VMC) to operate in Valpoi town, the council has now decided to issue notices to all mobile network companies operating towers in the municipality.

VMC Chief Officer Cynthia Misquita has decided to issue notices to all companies operating mobile towers to fulfill the documentary procedure, failing which they will face action from VMC authorities.

“Mobile towers were installed in Valpoi town some years ago and not a single tower has been provided with NOC from the VMC. Besides, these companies have been least bothered to apply for permissions from the VMC,” said Misquita.

“The VMC has decided to issue notices to all mobile tower operator to seek permission. The VMC can then earn some revenue from the use of these towers, she added.
