Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who felt uneasiness being attributed to jet-lag was on Thursday afternoon flown to a Mumbai hospital less than a day after he had returned to Goa from treatment at New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in the United States.
An official from the Chief Minister’s Office had told a section of the media corps that the chief minister had been flown to Mumbai because he was feeling fatigue. But a short while later the CMO issued a terse one-sentence statement saying: “Hon’ble Chief Minister has left for Mumbai for routine Medical Tests and will not be available till 25th August.”
Parrikar, who underwent follow-up treatment at the globally acclaimed New York hospital for over a week had returned only on Wednesday.
