Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar has informed the people of Vasco that works on the new Kadamba bus stand will be taken up soon through central funds while also assuring to put in place all the required facilities at the existing bus stand for the benefit of the people."People have faced inconvenience at this bus stand and I immediately began the follow-up for the works on the new bus stand. In the meantime, we also proposed the tarring of the internal road at the Vasco bus stand. We will now get a world-class bus stand soon through the central funds with the help of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and the support of Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho."
"The works on the tarring of the road was already tendered but we had been waiting for a dry spell after the end of monsoons to start the works and the works have finally begun. This is the start toward the process of having a world-class bus stand that has been pending for ten long years."
"In the meantime, while we get the new bus stand in a time frame of two years, we will get the internal road tarred, have benches for the people to sit, arrange for toilet facility and have fans at various locations so that the existing bus stand becomes presentable and the people arriving here do not face any sort of inconvenience," said Salkar.
