Vasco MLA Carlos Alemida admitted at Manipal Hospital

Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida was rushed to Manipal Hospital on Thursday in an unconscious condition after complaining of uneasiness.

According to information received from the family members, after his morning breakfast, Carlos Almeida complained of severe knee pain and fell unconscious. He was immediately shifted to SMRC hospital, Chicalim and then shifted to Manipal Hospital for an MRI scan.

On receiving the news, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, Former Navelim MLA Avertano Furtado and St Cruz MLA Tony Fernandes rushed to Manipal hospital where the family members of MLA Almeida were already present.

Carlos Almeida's health is reported to be stable.
