Cash, gold stolen
from Vasco flat

Gold and cash valued at Rs 9 lakh were stolen from a flat at St Andrew’s Residency, Vasco.
According to Vasco police, Laxaman Patkar complained that burglars broke the front door latch of his flat on the 4th floor at St Andrew’s Residency Vasco and decamped with gold and cash.
Police said Patkar and his wife had gone to reach their daughter to Hyderabad on June 14 and when they returned home on Monday, they noticed the flat open and valuables missing from the cupboards.
Police further said the dog squad and finger prints experts were pressed into service. Cash of Rs 10,000, two gold mangalsutras, two gold necklaces, six gold bangles, four earrings, a gold bangle Tillo with a gold hair clip and two gold bars, all worth Rs 9 lakh, were reported missing from the flat.
Police suspect that the burglars must have committed the theft between June 14 and 21. PSI Nikhil Palyekar is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Sagar Ekoskar.
