PORVORIM
A vehicle caught fire near the Alto-Porvorim Bazaar on Friday afternoon.
According to the Pilerne Fire Station, the vehicle usually carried cash for ATMs but there was no cash when the mishap took place.
The driver left the vehicle on noticing smoke and alerted the fire station. A fire tender led by Rama Naik went to the site and extinguished the flames within 30 minutes. Investigations are in progress to determine the cause of the fire.
