In a generous gesture to support the police force during the monsoon, and to appreciate the service of Goa Police, the Verna Industries Association (VIA) handed over 400 raincoats to the personnel of the South Goa Superintendent of Police’s office in Margao.
The raincoats were handed over by VIA President Kalpak Arware in the presence of South Goa SP Tikam Singh, Verna PI Anand Shirodkar, and other senior officers from the South Goa police jurisdiction. VIA executive committee members Rajesh Prabhu, Pradip Da Costa, Pramod Sulakhe, Kannan Ramkrishnan, and Viraj Sinari were also present.
This distribution is in addition to the earlier donations of 70 raincoats to the PI of Traffic Cell Vasco and 30 raincoats to the PI office at Dabolim.
“We are honoured to contribute to the well-being of our police personnel, who work tirelessly to ensure public safety and security,” said VIA president Kalpak Arware.
South Goa SP Tikam Singh expressed appreciation for the thoughtful contribution.
The initiative was supported by generous contributions from Marksans Pharma, Rajesh Roadlines, Cipla, Microlabs, ZMI Zarhak Moulders, Sahil Foods and Packaging, Unnati Hospitality, Novacare, OldGoa Oils & Foods, Fishnet Industry, Lourenceo Marine, and Shivam Engineers, all based at Verna Industrial Estate.
