Verna police nabbed gang of three thieves on Friday evening on charges of stealing batteries worth Rs 1 lakh.
A Verna police team led by PI Melson Colaco arrested Ram Rathod (21), Sagar Rathod (19) and Sachin Lamani (20), all natives of Bagalkot-Karnataka but residing at Sai Vihar in Pale-Velsao.
Verna police had earlier received a complaint from a businessman Mariano P Carvalho of Nagoa-Verna stating that between 7 pm on February 12 to 7 am on February 13, an unknown accused person had stolen a bus battery.
Verna police have recovered the stolen batteries form the accused.
Verna PSI Ramchandra M. Naik is carrying out further investigation under the supervision of PI Melson Colaco and guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
