The South Goa Sessions Court has reserved orders in the anticipatory bail applications filed by Verna Sarpanch Tony D’Costa and Sebastiao Pereira in the Nuvem assault case.
Arguments were heard in the Sessions Court before Judge Vijaya Amre on Wednesday with the prosecution vehemently opposing the anticipatory bail plea filed by the two applicants. On the other hand, defense lawyer, Adv Rajiv Gomes, who represented the Verna Sarpanch, pleaded for anticipatory bail for his client, saying that the latter was ready to cooperate with the investigating agency in the case.
Adv Amey Prabhudesai, who represented complainant Franky D’Mello as an intervenor in the anticipatory bail application, also opposed the bail plea.
After hearing the arguments, the Judge has reserved orders on the bail plea on Thursday noon.
