Former Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar’s video opposing coal was played at the the anti-coal rally at the Lohia Maidan.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and ruling party MLAs received brickbats over coal handling and transportation at the Lohia Maidan, Margao during the anti-coal rally held on Sunday.

Former BJP Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar came in for praise from the audience as the organizers played a video how the former Chief Minister publicly opposed coal and track doubling project in Goa.

As the former Chief Minister was heard saying a firm no to the track doubling project on grounds that he would not allow coal in the state, the audience was heard asking what has forced the incumbent Chief Minister to give the green signal for coal and track doubling project.
