SANGUEM
Congress candidate Capt Viriato Fernandes on Saturday toured Sanguem constituency and convened a series of meetings at the panchayat level alongwith the grassroot workers. The meetings were held in the villages of Molcornem, Rivona, Wadem, Uguem and Sanguem town.
At the meetings, Fernandes spoke about the false promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi since his first election and which were never fulfilled.
Fernandes also lamented about the negligence shown by the BJP government on the losses suffered by cashew farmers on account of poor pricing of cashew nuts and also highlighted the hardship and financial difficulties faced by sugarcane farmers due to the closure of Sanjivani Sugar Factory. Fernandes assured voters of Sanguem constituency of giving due justice to all the problems faced by the people and also assured to make the voice of people from Goa heard in the Lok Sabha if got elected.
