The government approved the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) for 29 police personnel including two civil staff on Tuesday. Among those who opted for VRS are three Police Sub-Inspectors, four Assistant Sub-Inspectors including three lady ASIs, 16 Head Constables of whom three are lady HCs and four Police Constables, which includes armorer and driver.
Two head clerks from the SP North office also availed of the scheme. In a communiqué to the Office of the Director General of Police, the Home Department confirmed the clearance of the VRS proposals. “...The finance department debt management division has accepted the requests of 29 police personnel/civil staff of Goa Police under Voluntary Retirement Scheme...” the communiqué signed by Under Secretary (Home-I) Manthan Naik stated.
