Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha on Tuesday afternoon launched the work of laying of 100 mm DI PWD water pipeline in ward no 8 at Zuarinagar in the presence of Sancoale panch members Kavita Kamal and Satish Padwalkar, General Secretary Cortalim BJP Mandal Achut Naik, Rangappa Kamal and locals of the area.
Speaking to the media, Saldanha said that with the laying of this PWD water pipeline most of the water issues faced by residents will be resolved.
"I am very happy that the water pipeline work is starting as the residents of the area are facing a lot of hardship due to lack of supply of regular water in the area. The panch of the area Kavita Kamal had been pursuing this work with me quite often. Finally with the laying of this water pipeline, most of the water issues will be resolved, " said Saldanha
The cost of the work is around Rs 7.32 lakhs. PWD engineers Eknath Paste, Assistant Engineer and Mohan Naik, Technical Assistant were also present.
