Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha commissioned two water supply projects in Zuarinagar-Sancoale.
One project pertains to a new PWD water pipeline to improve water supply at Zorint area, the other project pertains to a water pipeline to improve water supply to Wards 7, 8 and 9 in Birla, Zuarinagar.
Saldanha told reporters that these two projects would resolve the major issue of water shortage in Zuarinagar.
“Residents in Ward 7 were upset about water shortage and low pressure. The PWD engineers then effected a change in the pipeline and also separated water flow on both sides of the road, thereby resolving the water pressure issue.”
Vishwamber Bhende (executive engineer), Naresh Paiguinkar (assistant engineer)and others were present.
