A man from West Bengal has been arrested on charges of murdering his roommate at Deulwada-Dhargal on Monday.
According to Pernem police, the accused person Safik Sekh (24) of West Bengal, presently staying at Deulwada allegedly murdered his roommate Dhena Tudu (38) also from West Bengal, by assaulting him with hard and blunt force object over the body. The accused then absconded from the place of offence.
A police team was formed under the supervision of PI Dattaram V Raut traced the accused and he was later arrested under Section 302 on Tuesday.
Further investigation is in progress by PI Raut under supervision of Pernem SDPO Siddhant Shirodkar and overall supervision of the Superintendent of Police (North) Shekhar Prabhudesai.
