Stating that the BJP believes in development with stability, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said when BJP candidates are elected, people can be assured that their issues will be addressed without delay and development works will gain momentum.
He was addressing a well-attended corner meeting near the Sevalal Temple at Zorint, in the presence of Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho, Sancoale Sarpanch Anusha Lamani and former sarpanch Girish Pillai, to support BJP candidate Sunil Gawas in the Sancoale ZP constituency.
Appealing to voters to strengthen the BJP by electing a candidate who would work in coordination with the government, Sawant expressed confidence that Gawas would emerge victorious with the people’s blessings.
Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho said the BJP had always stood with the people of Sancoale and delivered development across sectors.
“This election is about choosing a candidate who will work for the people and not indulge in politics of disruption. Sunil Gawas has the backing of the party, the government and the people, and I am confident of his win,” Godinho said.
Former sarpanch and panch Girish Pillai appealed to voters to support the BJP candidate for sustained development.
“We have seen what coordinated governance can achieve. By electing the BJP candidate, people will ensure that local issues are taken up effectively and resolved,” he said.
BJP candidate Sunil Gawas thanked the senior leaders and supporters, assuring that he would work tirelessly for the constituency.
“With your support and guidance, I will work honestly for the welfare of the people and ensure development reaches every household,” Gawas said.
