MGP President Deepak Dhavalikar said people were unhappy with development projects being forced upon them by the present government and would elect the MGP into power at the assembly elections next year.
Dhavalikar was speaking while distributing 500-litre water tanks to the locals of Palsare, Keri who face an acute shortage of water. Around 40 houses in this locality suffer from water scarcity.
Former ZP member Mohan Verenkar, Babita Gaonkar, Keri deputy sarpanch Rohidas Kerkar, panch Trupti Naik, former panch Ashok Gaude, Bhom-Adcona panch Vishwajeet Naik were also present at the event.
"The current government is full of imported MLAs and they are forcing the development projects on the public. There's a need for MGP to come in power again to stop this and people will not miss this opportunity to elect the MGP to form the government in the 2022 state assembly elections," said Dhavalikar.
"I've already announced my candidacy from Priol constituency and I am well aware of the problems faced by people here. The tanks which are provided will be filled by a government tanker every two days and if someone denies due to political pressure then I will arrange a tanker," he added.
Mohan Verenkar, Babita Gaonkar, Vishwajeet Naik and Trupti Naik also spoke at the event.
