Babu further said that he had gone out of station after giving prior intimation to the government, sending a clear indication that he has not run away from the state anticipating a raid at his residence by the ACB sleuths. "Why should I apply for anticipatory bail when I am clean and have been cooperating with the investigating agency", he demanded to know, saying "though the ACB has registered a FIR against him, I do not apprehend arrest by the investigating agency".
Babu is expected to return home later tonight or on Sunday morning from Dharwad, where he was believed to have gone on a private visit. He, however, said that he would respond to any summons from the investigating agency if he is required for interrogation.
"I had visited the ACB office at least 20-25 times over the last seven years in connection with the investigations of the case. If my presence is again required after the registration of the FIR, I would visit the ACB office. There's no question of moving the court for anticipatory bail", he told The Goan.
