Woman abandons foetus in hospital washroom

In a shocking incident at the North Goa District Hospital, a woman reportedly delivered a six-month-old fetus in the hospital washroom and left it behind before exiting the premises. Hospital authorities discovered the abandoned fetus and have initiated an internal inquiry into the matter.

Mapusa Police have also launched a formal investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident and to identify the woman involved. Officials are examining CCTV footage and speaking with hospital staff to gather more details.

The case has sent ripples across the community, raising concerns about maternal care and hospital security.
