Worker dies after fall at Bogmalo construction site

A labourer lost his life after falling from a height at a construction site in Bogmalo.  

The deceased, identified as Sahajan C. K., a native of Kerala and residing in Bogmalo, reportedly fell from a height while carrying out centring work at a construction site located at Ranghavi Estate.  

According to information received from the Casualty Department of the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Chicalim, Sahajan was brought in by co-workers following the fall.

The on-duty doctor, however, declared him brought dead.  

“Preliminary inquiry with fellow labourers revealed that the deceased slipped and fell while on duty. He suffered a serious head injury due to the impact,” a police official said.  

The Vasco police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigations are being conducted by PSI Archana Gaonkar of Vasco Police Station.  

The body has been preserved at South Goa District Hospital, Margao, for medico-legal formalities.
