Workshop on winter veggies
PANAJI: Green Essentials will conduct a hands-on workshop on growing organic winter veggies
on Dec 11, from 3 to 6 pm, at Xavier Center for Historical Research, Porvorim. Pre-registration is compulsory and there is a registration fee.
Participants will be given a practical session with live demos on how to grow vegetables like radish, beetroot, capsicum, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and more.
Participants will also be taught to plan garden and growing space, getting soil right, setting a nursery, how to grow in beds and pots, transplantation and soil protection, organic methods of pest and disease management. Seasonal seeds and organic garden inputs will be available for sale.
