The first term examination schedule for SSC and HSSC examinations conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) will commence from November 10 and the detailed date-sheet has been circulated to all institutions across the State.
This is the second consecutive academic year that the GBSHSE is conducting the SSC and HSSC examinations in this new pattern of assessment it introduced due to the pandemic.
For the Class X (SSC) students the exam will kick off with the first language (English, Marathi or Urdu) paper for regular students and ‘functional English’ or ‘functional Marathi’ for the CWSN category on November 10.
Similarly, first language (English or Marathi) will be the opening subject paper for class XII (HSCC) students, again on November 10.
All the term-I exam papers will be held in the afternoon session from 2.30 pm.
The term-I exams for both SSC and HSSC students will be in the objective and MCQ (multiple-choice questions) format.
The term-II examination will be conducted by the GBSHSE in March next year. Apart from the two term examinations, this new assessment pattern introduced by the board also includes an internal assessment module based on scores in internal tests conducted by schools and also assignments.
