Yet another gambling raid in Salcete

In yet another gambling raid in Salcete, crime branch sleuths on Thursday raided a mini-casino at Ramnagri in Sao Jose de Areal village and seized cash and other gambling materials worth around Rs 80,000.

The Crime Branch has also arrested one Sunil L Naik, aged 44 years, a resident of Housing Board, Margao.

Besides cash, the raiding team seized two computers of Lenovo make.

This is the second raid conducted by the Goa police connected to online gaming in Salcete.

Earlier this week, the Margao police had raided a mini-casino near the Margao flyover and seized cash and other gambling material worth over Rs two lakh.

The police also arrested two persons operating the online gaming and seven who were found playing.
