Youth dies after being hit by train at Vasco

A youth lost his life after being hit by a moving train near the last bus stop at New Vaddem, Vasco, on Thursday night. 

Vasco Railway Police received information about a person being hit by a train, and a team rushed to the spot. On reaching the track, officers found an unidentified male lying beside the tracks. During inquiry, the deceased was identified by Rupesh Shikarwar of UP as his friend, Akhil Nariyal (25), a resident of New Vaddem, Vasco, and a native of Himachal Pradesh.

Police conducted an inquest panchanama and kept the body at SGDH Margao for medico-legal formalities.

Preliminary inquiry revealed that the deceased was either walking along or crossing the railway track when he came in contact with the moving train. Vasco Railway Police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of the BNSS.
