Youth injured in Mapusa accident

MAPUSA: One person was injured in a road mishap involving a scooter and a bus at Mapusa on Saturday.
Mapusa Police informed that the accident happened opposite the Carvalho petrol pump at around 10 am involving a Volvo bus (MH-12-KQ-3459) proceeding from Panaji to Mapusa and an Activa scooter (GA-03-Q-6548), which was proceeding to Panaji.
The scooter rider rammed on the left side of the bus which was taking a turn to enter into the new bus-stand area, police said.
According to the police, the scooter rider, Joet (21) from Housing Board, Mapusa suffered facial injuries in the accident.
The injured was rushed to the North Goa District Hospital and later moved to the GMC for further treatment. Further investigation is in progress.
