IIM Goa Chapter opens today
PANAJI: Prof Indranil Manna, president of Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) & director, IIT Kanpur along with Dr Biswajit Basu, vice president, IIM & Head, Aditya Birla Science and Technology Co (ABSTC) Ltd will inaugurate Goa Chapter of IIM at BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus on September 25.
The IIM has chapters in almost all important towns and cities of India except Goa. Though BITS Pilani does not have a separate dept of Metallurgy, 23 faculty members across engineering and science departments came forward to form the Goa Chapter of IIM.
The Goa Chapter of IIM is aspiring to host 55th National Metallurgists’ Day and 71st Annual Technical Meeting at Goa in 2017.
