Say refurbishment work on track

Supporters of Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao on Monday rejected the allegations made by some individuals over Freedom Fighters Memorial refurbishment and said that this project will soon become a reality.
Cuncolim Congress Block President Assiz Noronha along with other supporters told the media that some individuals are trying to misguide people over this issue. “MLA Yuri Alemao’s office is following up on this project. This project will come into reality. But some opponents are simply trying to create issue and misguide people of Cuncolim,” Noronha said.
Noronha said that people of Cuncolim are prudent enough to know the intentions of these individuals, who are trying to malign the image of MLA Yuri Alemao. “People know why these individuals raise such issues,” he added.
CMC Chairperson Landry Mascarenhas also said that this project is in the process and will come into reality. “Our MLA has proved himself by doing developmental works. I am confident even this will come into reality,” he said.
Cuncolim Municipal councillors and others were present during the briefing.
