A number of Goan celebrities in music, fashion and sport will take part in ‘Cup of Life’ a celebrity exhibition match at ‘The Base’ in Seraulim on May 21 at 6 pm.The event is organised by CanSurvive, a project by Caritas Goa, to spread awareness on the early detection of cancer.
This match will be played by Goan celebrities from various fields such as Padmashri Brahmanand Sankwalkar, Mukesh Ghatwal (musician), Philu Martins (fashion designer), Joanne Da Cunha (actor/model), Micky Fernandes (international footballer), Robert Fernandez (international footballer), Varun Carvalho (singer), Verma D’Mello (fashion designer), Alvito D’Cunha (international footballer), Velrose Pereira (musician), Climax Lawrence (international footballer), Cavin Lobo (international footballer) and Franky Fernandes (FIFA referee).
CanSurvive, a project by Caritas Goa, is a network of oncologists, nurses, villagers and students’ movement, which is voluntary and community-based.
CanSurvive creates awareness about the prevention of cancer in Goa and has a vision of being a ray of hope in the fight against cancer. All are cordially invited to the ‘Cup of Life’ celebrity exhibition match, states a press note issued by Caritas Goa Director Fr Maverick Fernandes.
